Urban Ecology website

Spring 2025

timeframe: 1 week

how can digital experiences enhance the understanding of nuanced issues?

project brief: create an interactive "scrolly-telling" website centered around a social cause we had interest in, informing an audience through data visualization

for this project i: learned to use Readymag, using its functions to animate an informational narrative as users scrolled down the page

  • Readymag
  • Figma
  • UI/UX
  • Information Design
  • Adobe After Effects

Building off of the visual language established by the zine, this website functions as a digital experience connecting the other aspects of the Urban Ecology project series. As you scroll through it, information is revealed or made interactable via visual metaphors which draw on the source material itself.

Some elements of the project were prototyped in Figma, with other assets brought in from After Effects. Together these create animations that respond to how far you've scrolled down the page. Details are discovered through interaction.
